When researching Digipacks we have found that there is some questions that need to be considered when designing our own Digipack for our artist Molly Venter.
1. How are we going to link our digipack to our video?
We are going to use the idea of Polaroid photos throughout our digipack and music video. Also by using the same images throughout our promotional material.
2. How will we develop our artists star image?
We shall do this by creating pictures that will show our artist fitting in with the genre, and we shall make her look appealing and friendly. We shall place the pictures into Polaroids as said above and this will create an image motif almost. As it will be on all the material that we shall make.
3. How will we make our Digipack appealing to our target audience?
We shall make the digi-pack modern but also by using a vintage effect with it. For example we shall include buttons, ribbon etc. which is quite fashionable and quirky. This will therefore attract our younger audience and the vintage effect will attract the older audidnce.
4. What industry information will we include?
We shall include that she is an unsigned artist and where she recorded the album. We shall also include where to buy the album and we shall include a barcode.
5. How are we going to make it ? What ICT programmes will we be able to use to create our ideas?
I am going to have to make all my ancillary tasks at school as I do not have the required programmes to make my ideas at home.
At school we have a number of programmes on the computers that I can have access to:
Serif Page Plus 11 - This is the programme that I shall be creating my Digipack and Magazine advert with.
Serif Photo Plus - This is the programme that I shall be using to edit and create My pictures for the Digipack and Magazine advert.
Serif Draw Plus - This is the programme that I am going to have to work out how to use before I can create anything with! I am intending on making my font from this programme.
