Magazine Adverts For Similar Artists

This is Ellie Goulding's magazine advert for her new album 'Lights'. her album cover uses the same image as the one on the advert. This shows a link between the two and therefore promotes Ellie well.

She has fitted the common conventions of Magazine adverts by including all the important and necessary details such as star ratings and reviews.
She has also included her industry information at the bottom, but i have realised that not all magazine adverts do this.

Her name is in the same font as the album cover and it creates a brand identity.
it looks like her album name is also in the same font and colour, just with it being considerably smaller in size. This is unusual as most adverts and album covers use different fonts and colours for the album name. But overall it works well, and stand out.
She is obviously selling her music on her own image and this therefore shows me why the main image is of herself.
My Magazine advert will possibly focus on the concept around the advertising, e.g. Polaroids.

This research has given me many ideas on what to use on my advert, it has also shown me what I need to include in my advert.
