Digipacks are used to hold artists and bands CD's ready for Purchase. The artists and bands use this as a promotional material. They include pictures of themselves, or an idea or concept that promotes them and their music.
Most Digipacks include lots of information. For example many include;
- Lyrics
- Written piece from the artist
- Acknowledgements
- Music label that represents them
- Star rating, Music magazine Review
- Barcode for scanning in Shops
They are a type of CD Packaging that are made out of Card or any other heavy Paper/Cardboard Material.
They have many different designs and layouts, and can fold almost anywhere
- They can open like a book
- They can be in 3 Parts - so that one part is on the right and one on the left, with the CD in the centre.
- Some have Pockets for Booklets or Posters
- Some can have two spines and fold in twice
The most simplest ones are measured at 57cm x 12.5cm. The 57cm is for the 4 panels of 14cm each and a spine. Where the 2 outside panels fold into the centre
