What is a DigiPack?

Digipacks are used to hold artists and bands CD's ready for Purchase. The artists and bands use this as a promotional material. They include pictures of themselves, or an idea or concept that promotes them and their music.
Most Digipacks include lots of information. For example many include;

- Lyrics
- Written piece from the artist
- Acknowledgements
- Music label that represents them
- Star rating, Music magazine Review
- Barcode for scanning in Shops

They are a type of CD Packaging that are made out of Card or any other heavy Paper/Cardboard Material.

They have many different designs and layouts, and can fold almost anywhere
  • They can open like a book
  • They can be in 3 Parts - so that one part is on the right and one on the left, with the CD in the centre.
  • Some have Pockets for Booklets or Posters
  • Some can have two spines and fold in twice
Normally the portion of the digipack that holds the CD is made of Plastic, which is usually attached to the paper background.

The most simplest ones are measured at 57cm x 12.5cm. The 57cm is for the 4 panels of 14cm each and a spine. Where the 2 outside panels fold into the centre
